Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX), 54-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Diboll upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Hemphill (Hemphill, TX) to play the Hornets in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 8-7.

Next up, the Red Devils play the Woodville Eagles (Woodville, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 59-42 league loss to Pollok Central (Pollok, TX).
