California High School Basketball - Downey thwarted by Pitman

January 12, 2024: Turlock, CA 95382

The Downey Knights basketball team (Modesto, CA), was toppled 52-37 in Friday's league battle with the host Pitman Pride (Turlock, CA)

The Pride now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league battle on Monday, January 15. Pitman will confront a Lions team coming off a 77-71 non-league win over Jesuit (Carmichael, CA). The Lions record now stands at 14-3.

The Knights (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Modesto (Modesto, CA). The Panthers come into the Central California Athletic League battle with a 4-12 record.
