In their next game, the Owls face the Harmony Grove Hornets (Camden, AR) in a 3A Region 8 game, on Tuesday, January 16. McGehee will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 7-6 record after their 75-64 league win over Smackover (Smackover, AR).

With the defeat, Dumas moves to 16-4 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Fordyce (Fordyce, AR) to face the Redbugs in a non-league game on Thursday, January 18. The Redbugs enter the game with a record of 7-8.
