Edison (Queens, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Springfield Gardens Golden Eagles (Springfield Gardens, NY), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Edison upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The travel to Bayside (Bayside, NY) to clash with the Commodores in a PSAL AAA Queens II bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Bayside won 67-46 in their recent non-league bout against Newcomers (Queens, NY)

Next up, the Golden Eagles clash with the Epic South (Ozone Park, NY) in a PSAL AAA Queens III bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Springfield Gardens will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record.
