With the victory, Excel improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Monroe County (Monroeville, AL) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Choctaw County Tigers (Butler, AL) in a 1A Area 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Sweet Water will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
