Freedom Eagles (Woodbridge, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gar-Field Red Wolves (Woodbridge, VA), 70-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Eagles host Chantilly (Chantilly, VA) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Chantilly won 59-56 in their recent league bout against Oakton (Vienna, VA)

Next up, the Red Wolves clash with the Potomac Senior Panthers (Dumfries, VA) in a Eastern bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Gar-Field will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 62-55 non-league win over Woodson (Fairfax, VA).
