Wallace Miners (Wallace, ID) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars (Post Falls, ID), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Wallace upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Miners travel to Mullan (Mullan, ID) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Lakeside Knights (Plummer, ID) in a 1A I Scenic Idaho bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Genesis Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 96-38 non-league win over Timberline (Weippe, ID).
