Hasbrouck Heights Aviators (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wood-Ridge Blue Devils (Wood-Ridge, NJ), 45-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hasbrouck Heights upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Aviators travel to Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Park Ridge won 48-47 in their recent non-league bout against Midland Park (Midland Park, NJ)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Emerson Cavaliers (Emerson, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Wood-Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 57-51 non-league loss to Ridgefield Memorial (Ridgefield, NJ).
