In Friday's league outing, the Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA), by a margin of 89-61.

The Rebels (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against JS Clark Leadership Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Bulldogs go into the B District 6 outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, JS Clark Leadership Academy was trounced by Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA), 48-38, in a non-league outing.

The Hornets now own a 7-21 record. They play next when they travel to Lacassine for a B District 6 outing on Tuesday, January 16. Hathaway will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 78-43 league win over Bell City (Bell City, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 29-1.
