Pearce Mustangs (Richardson, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Highland Park Scots (Dallas, TX), 63-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pearce upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Irving (Irving, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-16. Irving lost 69-38 in their recent league bout against Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Scots play the Richardson Eagles (Richardson, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Highland Park will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 59-58 league win over Dallas Jesuit (Dallas, TX).
