With the victory, Irvin upgrades its record to 6-14 on the campaign. The Rockets host Austin (El Paso, TX) to play the Panthers in a 4A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-15. Austin won 71-59 in their recent non-league bout against Clint (Clint, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Bowie Bears (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Patterson Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 63-41 league win over Harmony Science Academy (El Paso, TX).
