The Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) basketball felled the host Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX), 52-40 in Friday's league test.

The Crushers (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers go into the 1A Region IV District 31 test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Nueces Canyon went down by Utopia (Utopia, TX), 71-46, in a league test.

The Buffaloes now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Leakey for a 1A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, January 16. Utopia will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 77-35 league loss to D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-17.
