The Purvis Tornadoes tipped the visiting Lawrence County Cougars basketball team by a final score of 61-60 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) in a 4A Region 7 game, on Tuesday, January 16. Purvis will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record. The Aggies enter the game with a 8-12 record after their 67-44 league loss to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS).
