The Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL) basketball knocked off the host Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL), 58-50 in Friday's league test.
The Golden Bears (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Hornets go into the 2A Area 16 test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Hatton went down by Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL), 61-30, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they travel to Mars Hill Bible for a 2A Area 16 test on Monday, January 15. Sheffield will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 71-40 non-league win over Wilson (Florence, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-2.
