North Carolina High School Basketball - Lincolnton tops West Caldwell

January 12, 2024: Lincolnton, NC 28092

Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), 79-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lincolnton upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a 2A Catawba Valley bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 3-10. East Burke lost 72-59 in their recent league bout against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 16. West Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 72-62 league loss to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC).
