Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians (Waterford, NY), 75-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Mechanicville upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Red Raiders host Greenwich (Greenwich, NY) to clash with the Witches in a Section 2 Wasaren - A bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Witches go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Greenwich lost 81-44 in their recent league bout against Stillwater (Stillwater, NY)

Next up, the Fordians clash with the Hoosic Valley Indians (Schaghticoke, NY) in a Section 2 Wasaren - B bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Waterford-Halfmoon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 63-46 league loss to Stillwater (Stillwater, NY).
