The Jaybirds come into the challenge with a record of 21-3. Jayton won 75-12 in their recent league challenge against Guthrie (Guthrie, TX)

Next up, the Matadors play the Patton Springs Rangers (Afton, TX) in a 1A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Motley County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 57-32 league loss to Paducah (Paducah, TX).
