The Payson Lions basketball team (Payson, UT), was nudged 36-33 in Friday's league battle with the host Provo Bulldogs (Provo, UT)

The Bulldogs now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Uintah for a 4A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Provo will battle a Utes team coming off a 86-48 league loss to Layton Christian Academy (Layton, UT). The Utes record now stands at 5-9.

The Lions (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Timpanogos (Orem, UT). The Timberwolves come into the 4A Region 8 battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, Timpanogos was nudged by Mountain View (Orem, UT), 50-46, in a league battle.
