The Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) basketball crushed the host South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), 66-33 in Friday's non-league test.
The Spartans (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Belle Chasse was trounced by Hammond (Hammond, LA), 63-60, in a non-league test.
The Hurricanes now own a 8-15 record. They play next when they travel to Tara for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. South Plaquemines will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 78-45 non-league loss to Slidell (Slidell, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-16.
