Ralls Jackrabbits (Ralls, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), 48-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Ralls upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Jackrabbits host Olton (Olton, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Olton lost 61-47 in their recent league bout against Floydada (Floydada, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Smyer will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 79-78 league loss to Sudan (Sudan, TX).
