Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rankin Red Devils (Rankin, TX) and the host Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), saw Rankin's basketball squad wallop Sanderson by a count of 86-30.

With the victory, Rankin upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Comstock (Comstock, TX) to play the Panthers in a 1A Region II District 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Comstock lost 42-24 in their recent league challenge against Buena Vista (Imperial, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys (Grandfalls, TX) in a 1A Region II District 10 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record.
