The Red Lake County Central Mustangs basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies to 66 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clearbrook-Gonvick for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Red Lake County Central will meet a Bears team coming off a 69-39 league loss to Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] (Newfolden, MN). The Bears record now stands at 1-8.
The Ponies (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] (Climax, MN). The Knights enter the A Section 8 contest with a 1-13 record. In their last contest, Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] was outscored by Crookston (Crookston, MN), 65-60, in a non-league contest.
