Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rowlett Eagles (Rowlett, TX), 58-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Sachse upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to play the Rangers in a 6A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, January 19. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 8-16. Naaman Forest won 69-60 in their recent league bout against Wylie East (Wylie, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Garland Owls (Garland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Rowlett will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 64-57 league win over Lakeview Centennial (Garland, TX).
