West Limestone Wildcats (Lester, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL), 53-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Limestone upgrades its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Clements (Athens, AL) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 4-17. Clements won 48-44 in their recent league bout against Elkmont (Elkmont, AL)

Next up, the Falcons play the New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. St. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 58-52 league win over Kate Duncan Smith DAR (Grant, AL).
