In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Wyoming East Warriors basketball squad scored a close 39-33 victory over the Summers County Bobcats.

With the victory, Wyoming East improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host WestSide (Clear Fork, WV) to confront the Renegades in a Coalfield AA challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Renegades come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. WestSide won 86-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Summers County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 73-40 league win over Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV).
