University Buccaneers (Johnson City, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN), 93-43 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Hampton (Hampton, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Hampton won 79-30 in their recent league bout against Happy Valley (Elizabethton, TN)

Next up, the Rangers play the Hancock County Indians (Sneedville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Unaka will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
