The Rutland Hurricanes basketball team (Macon, GA), was routed 60-25 in Friday's league battle with the host Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA)
The Gryphons now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest for a AA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Academy for Classical Education will battle a Patriots team coming off a 53-14 league win over Kendrick (Columbus, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-4.
The Hurricanes (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Kendrick (Columbus, GA). The Cherokees come into the AA Region 2 battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Kendrick was routed by Southwest (Macon, GA), 53-14, in a league battle.
