The Arcadia Hornets basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Homer Pelicans to 29 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 21-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plain Dealing for a 1A District 1 contest on Wednesday, January 17. Arcadia will battle a Lions team coming off a 47-14 non-league win over Magnolia School of Excellence (Shreveport, LA). The Lions record now stands at 8-14.

The Pelicans (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-12 record.
