Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks (Baldwin, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI), 42-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Baldwin-Woodville upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Blackhawks travel to Barron (Barron, WI) to play the Golden Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Barron lost 58-39 in their recent league bout against St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Ellsworth Panthers (Ellsworth, WI) in a Middle Border bout, on Thursday, January 18. St. Croix Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 58-42 league loss to Prescott (Prescott, WI).
