Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) and the host Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC), saw Bertie's basketball squad hold off Martin County by a tally of 34-29.

With the victory, Bertie improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Wilson Prep lost 48-46 in their recent league challenge against Weldon (Weldon, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. Martin County will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 48-35 non-league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC).
