The Bishop Ryan Lions basketball team (Minot, ND), was nudged 37-34 in Friday's league battle with the host Velva Aggies (Velva, ND)
The Aggies now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenburn for a B District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Velva will battle a Panther team coming off a 56-32 league loss to Surrey (Surrey, ND). The Panther record now stands at 4-7.
The Lions (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND). The Knights come into the B District 8 battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Our Redeemer's Christian edged Powers Lake/Burke Central (Powers Lake, ND), 59-42, in a non-league battle.
