South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX), 77-37 in a league bout.

With the win, South Grand Prairie upgrades its record to 19-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Haltom (Haltom City, TX) to clash with the Buffalos in a 6A Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Buffalos go into the bout with a record of 7-18. Haltom won 49-20 in their recent league bout against Sam Houston (Arlington, TX)

Next up, the Volunteers clash with the Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Bowie will attempt to upgrade on its 13-13 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 45-31 league win over Arlington (Arlington, TX).
