    The DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Cedar Hill Longhorns to 53 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

    The Eagles now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Duncanville for a 6A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 16. DeSoto will meet a Panthers and Pantherettes team coming off a 84-41 league win over Skyline (Dallas, TX). The Panthers and Pantherettes record now stands at 22-3.

    The Longhorns (15-12) will now prepare for their contest against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX). The Broncos come into the 6A Region II District 11 bout with a 10-16 record.
