Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), 42-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Charles City upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Mathews (Mathews, VA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Tidewater bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Mathews lost 31-18 in their recent league bout against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA)

Next up, the Pointers clash with the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA) in a Tidewater bout, on Tuesday, January 16. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Royal Tigers go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 31-18 league win over Mathews (Mathews, VA).
