The East Central Eagles basketball team (Sandstone, MN), was overwhelmed 65-22 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Pine City Dragons (Pine City, MN)

The Dragons now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 16. Pine City will confront a Huskies team coming off a 32-24 league win over East Central (Sandstone, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 2-11.

The Eagles (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Aitkin (Aitkin, MN). The Gobblers come into the non-league battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Aitkin was overwhelmed by Mesabi East (Aurora, MN), 59-22, in a league battle.
