Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Elizabeth Bulldogs (Elizabeth, LA), 64-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Hicks upgrades its record to 26-2 on the season. The Pirates travel to Anacoco (Anacoco, LA) to play the Indians in a B District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 26-4. Anacoco won 60-31 in their recent league bout against Pitkin (Pitkin, LA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Oak Hill Rams (Hineston, LA) in a B District 4 bout, on Friday, January 19. Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record.
