The Prescott Cardinals basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Ellsworth Panthers to 42 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Osceola for a Middle Border contest on Thursday, January 18. Prescott will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 40-31 non-league loss to Hayward (Hayward, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-13.

The Panthers (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Croix Central (Hammond, WI). The Panthers enter the Middle Border contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, St. Croix Central was defeated by Baldwin-Woodville (Baldwin, WI), 42-34, in a league contest.
