The Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX) basketball crushed the host Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX), 74-33 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (23-2) will now prepare for their test against Teague (Teague, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region III District 20 test with a 14-11 record. In their last test, Teague walloped Elkhart (Elkhart, TX), 36-29, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 8-16 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a 3A Region III District 20 test on Wednesday, January 17. Westwood will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 67-16 league win over Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Lions record now stands at 16-5.
