Southern Aroostook Warriors (Dyer Brook, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME), 62-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern Aroostook upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Warriors host Washburn (Washburn, ME) to play the Beavers in a D North bout on Monday, January 15. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Washburn lost 63-17 in their recent non-league bout against Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME)

Next up, the Warriors play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a C North bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Fort Kent will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
