The Southampton Indians basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting Franklin Broncos to 32 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Colonial Heights for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Southampton will meet a Colonials team coming off a 54-51 league win over Petersburg (Petersburg, VA). The Colonials record now stands at 6-2.
The Broncos (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA). The Tigers enter the Tri-Rivers contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Sussex Central nudged Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA), 35-18, in a league contest.
