Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Greenville Spartans (Greenville, NY) and the visiting Watervliet Cannoneers (Watervliet, NY), saw Greenville's basketball squad wallop Watervliet by a count of 67-26.

With the victory, Greenville upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Coxsackie-Athens (Coxsackie, NY) to play the Riverhawks in a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Riverhawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Coxsackie-Athens lost 56-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Greenwich (Greenwich, NY)

Next up, the Cannoneers play the Taconic Hills Titans (Craryville, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Watervliet will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
