In Friday's non-league outing, the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), by a margin of 46-21.

The Mountaineers (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy (Hartford, CT). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 3-5 record.

The Spartans now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Litchfield for a Berkshire outing on Tuesday, January 16. Shepaug Valley will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 52-18 league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-7.
