The Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX), 61-42 in Friday's league test.

The Lions (18-9) will now prepare for their test against College Station (College Station, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region III District 21 test with a 9-19 record. In their last test, College Station notched a victory over Brenham (Brenham, TX), 46-43, in a league test.

The Rangers now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 21 test on Tuesday, January 16. Rudder will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 43-42 league win over A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX). The Bears record now stands at 21-6.
