The Langtree Charter Lions basketball team (Mooresville, NC), was overwhelmed 59-14 in Friday's league battle with the host Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC)

The Pride now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corvian Community for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores battle on Tuesday, January 16. Pine Lake Prep will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 51-11 non-league win over Carter G. Woodson (Winston-Salem, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-8.

The Lions (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Spartans come into the 1A/2A Catawba Shores battle with a 12-1 record. In their last battle, Community School of Davidson trounced Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 49-37, in a league battle.
