Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Litchfield Cowboys (Litchfield, CT), 52-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwestern Regional upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Suffield (West Suffield, CT) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Suffield won 47-37 in their recent league bout against East Windsor (East Windsor, CT)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) in a Berkshire bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Litchfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 46-21 non-league loss to Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT).
