Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Troy Trojans (Troy, TX), 53-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Lorena upgrades its record to 21-5 on the season. The Leopards host Lexington (Lexington, TX) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Lexington lost 73-37 in their recent league bout against Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Rogers Eagles (Rogers, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Troy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record.
