Pearce Mustangs (Richardson, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX), 51-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Pearce upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Mustangs host Berkner (Richardson, TX) to clash with the Rams in a 6A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 13-12. Berkner won 43-40 in their recent league bout against Nimitz (Irving, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Irving Tigers (Irving, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. MacArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 66-47 league loss to Richardson (Richardson, TX).
