Magnolia Science Academy Pirates (Santa Ana, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles (Santa Ana, CA), 1-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Magnolia Science Academy upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Pirates host Southlands Christian (Rowland Heights, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a Express bout on Friday, January 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Meridian Eagles clash with the Samueli Academy Firewolves (Santa Ana, CA) in a Express bout, on Friday, January 19. Vista Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
