Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy overwhelms Massabesic

January 12, 2024: Waterboro, ME 04087

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) and the host Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME), saw Thornton Academy's basketball squad wallop Massabesic by a tally of 44-18.

With the victory, Thornton Academy improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Cheverus (Portland, ME) to confront the Stags in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Stags come into the challenge with a record of 10-1.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. Massabesic will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 46-43 league win over Bangor (Bangor, ME).
