The McDonough Rams basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Thomas Stone Cougars to 36 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, January 17. McDonough will battle a Braves team coming off a 52-29 league loss to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Braves record now stands at 4-7.

The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Patuxent (Lusby, MD). The Panthers enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Patuxent was nudged by Northern (Owings, MD), 75-52, in a league contest.
